Acoustic Tour – February 2020

After the success of 50 Year Storm’s support slot with King Creature at the beginning of 2019, as part of their acoustic album ‘To The Bone’ tour, the demand to hear the band’s favourite songs in a stripped-back, chilled acoustic style was so strong, they just had to give fans what they wanted the following year. So in February 2020, over 4 days, the trio travelled around the county, giving the masses exactly what they wanted.

Starting in Falmouth at Hillbilly’s Bar with support from Martin and Luke from local band Oh Majester, they moved onto The Westerner in St.Austell, The Old Ale House in Truro and finally The Rockpool in Gwithian, with support from the mind blowing, former Honey front woman Sarah Marie Tyrell.

Each of their songs, stripped back and raw, entertained Storm fans and newbies alike, gaining yet more followers in the different towns across Cornwall. The question put to the band this time wasn’t about another tour but when they were going to record their acoustic album so that people could buy it!

So, since the people have asked, the Storm will answer. They will be offering a pre-purchase offer for people wanting to buy the album, along with other tempting offers if people pay more towards the ‘crowd funded’-like cause to record the album and get it into production. Watch this space!

With thanks to David Burkinshaw and Sarah Marie Tyrell for their photography.
